The Wellness Space

Universal Spiritual Building, Venice Beach

A meditative shelter at the end of Rose Avenue in Venice Beach, designed as a quiet place for spiritual well-being. Starting from a circle and its asymmetry, the building turns its back on the noisy street and opens toward the ocean, the Santa Monica Mountains and the sound of the waves: a low ceiling frames the ocean like a picture, and a thin circular roof opening drops light down to the lower platform.
